EP series vinyl volume three. This 10" sample disc is packed with dub, reggae and dancehall sounds: two full sides of drum breaks, drum fills, instrument phrases, vocal cuts, sound FX and more; all carefully arranged in random order for an authentic crate digging experience.
This top-tier battle weapon from 30-year hip-hop veteran DJ HollanDAZE (formerly known as DJ Daze) is packed with never-before-used golden era vocal samples and custom original sound effects. The whole thing has been built very much with turntablists in mind and has been mixed, mastered and pressed by heavyweights in the scratch vinyl community. HollanDAZE's pedigree runs deep and includes cutting scratches for KRS-One, Eminem, Mos Def and Del the Funky Homosapien, plus work on the classic Lyricist Lounge Volume 1, and all that experience shows in every crafted sample. A portion of proceeds supports Beats Rhymes and Life, a hip hop therapy program for youth where Daze serves as a DJ instructor, so it makes this an even more essential purchase.
The 7" edition of Crossfade Chronicles brings a precision-engineered scratch tool to heavyweight vinyl with maximum groove depth optimised specifically for performance. Side A sits at 83 bpm and Side B at 100 bp with each carrying 12 skip-less scratch phrases and a locked groove built for serious DJs to do some serious cutting and scratching. This has been crafted by 30-year hip hop veteran DJ HollanDAZE using golden-era vocal samples and custom sound effects, so it is a proper functional tool designed for turntablists to get to work and do their maddest and baddest. Tight, technical and purely for the art of the cut.

Based on the concept of "battle breaks for scratch beginners," NE-NYO, who has worked as a DJ / turntablist in Kyoto, LA, and Tokyo, made the most of the connections he has built up over the years to produce "SCRATCH FOUNDATIONS." With the cooperation of renowned artists from both the US West Coast and Japan, including his mentor D-Styles (Invisibl Skratch Piklz / The Beat Junkies) and D-Styles' ally DJ Babu (Dilated Peoples / The Beat Junkies), this Battle Breaks album is infused with NE-NYO's own perspective and passion as a turntablist.
Overall supervision of Battle Breaks was provided by scratching master DJ Miyajima, Japan champion in the 2002 DMC Battle division and the 2007 DMC Single division. The scratching material on both sides of the 12-inch single features basic sounds that are easy to learn, making it perfect for beginners.
Additionally, side A features a juggling beat (using two discs) created by DJ $HIN, who also handled the mix and mastering of this album, based on ideas from NE-NYO and DJ Miyajima. The B-side features dope beats from a stellar lineup including D-Styles, DJ Babu, BAKU (KAIKOO), and STEALTH FLEX (BAKU, BANBI, DJ ZEEK), making them a great backing track for scratching. The jacket
Artwork, by Yosuke "Cover" Hori, also features illustrations of each artist featured on the album, making it a visually appealing piece.
