Vajra has been making noise in the battle circuit for a hot minute (4 time DMC USA Finalist, 2002 WSTC World Champion), but this is his first break record. Cuts & Drums, Vol.1 is exactly what you'd expect from the title: cuts... and drums! The record is more of a tool than anything else, heavily geared toward the jugglers and scratch composers rather than the hardcore scratch hermits. One side features a plethora of skipless sounds, scratch sentences, disses and your typical battle quotes, while the flip is just a gang load of skipless drum kit lines with varying patterns and tempos. This side is definitely strictly for the jugglers and drum scratchers since the drum patterns never form a full bar loop to scratch to. Obviously doubles are recommended for this one.
