It Takes Two

At the heart of TRAKTOR DUO are two playback decks packed with plenty of useful and creative features. An automatic beat grid and precise beat detection capabilities provide you with the correct BPM readings for mixing your tracks. The Sync Lock function makes sure that once tracks are beat-matched they will never drift out of time, and intelligent loop and cue functions even let you remix tracks on the fly.

Duo In Effect

Both playback decks in TRAKTOR DUO integrate a 3-band EQ and classic filters giving you complete control of your tracks’ sound. For even deeper sonic transformations, TRAKTOR DUO comes with six high-quality effects: tempo-synched filter, delay, flanger and reverb, as well as the unique beatmasher and gater effects – built with Native Instruments’ groundbreaking REAKTOR technology.

Precision Interface

TRAKTOR DUO incorporates the same user interface as TRAKTOR PRO. The high contrast, scalable fonts and intelligent grouping of graphic elements ensure an unparalleled ease of use and super-fast workflow. The intuitive Crate Flick search lets you visually flip through your collection by cover art and makes finding that next track both fun and easy.

MASCHINE INTEGRATION

TRAKTOR 1.2 update now available


The 1.2 update for user of the latest generation of TRAKTOR (TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO, TRAKTOR PRO, TRAKTOR SCRATCH DUO, TRAKTOR DUO, TRAKTOR LE (latest version) is available for download now.

This is the the most advanced version of TRAKTOR yet, introducing several new features for all users, as well as some PRO-specific additions.

NEW EFFECTS FOR PRO

Users of TRAKTOR PRO and TRAKTOR SCRATCH PRO are treated to three extra effects in this 1.2 version. Taking the total to 28 highly creative and professional effects, this update adds a Beat Slicer, and Formant Filter and a Peak Filter to your arsenal of weapons- all of which need to be heard to be believed.

Four independent effect units:
The already impressive TRAKTOR effects section just got twice as nice. With the addition of two more effects units (in PRO versions only) the potential for warping and twisting your tracks has been vastly increased. With three separate effects chainable per unit, the possibilities are now almost endless.

Native HID / Display Support

TRAKTOR now supports the HID (Human Interface Device) protocol for the Pioneer CDJ-400 and display support for the Denon DN-HC4500. HID is an alternative to MIDI control that boasts a much improved sensitivity, meaning even more precise control over pitch control and effects parameters etc. HID also utilizes the product displays to show TRAKTOR info such as track name, remaining time etc, directly on the hardware.

IMPROVED TIME-STRETCHING ALGORITHM

The new advanced Élastique time stretching algorithm delivers a new level in time-stretching quality at an amazing workload efficiency. The algorithm has been developed to detect tonal and transient components in your tracks with high accuracy, making the Keylock function in TRAKTOR 1.2 sound pristine. The new algorithm also ensures exceptional efficiency in CPU usage.

New Features in Version 1.1

Auto Sync Mode

Once you have selected SYNC for a deck, it will remain engaged when loading a new track. Drop a new track into a mix in perfect time, without having to hit the sync button again.

Advanced Controller Setup Wizard

Fast and convenient set up of controllers and interfaces is now possible with the addition of this feature. The Wizard can be dialed up from within the application (and opens on first startup) plus it also allows hotplugging of devices while TRAKTOR is running. Once a device is connected, select it in the Wizard and it'll load the respective TSI with all settings. Plug and play!

High-Resolution 14 Bit MIDI support

Added support for 14bit-MIDI in version 1.1 allows TRAKTOR PRO to leverage the extended precision and responsiveness of high-resolution knobs and faders on various current DJ controller models.

In Sync With The Music

TRAKTOR DUO contains several highly useful tools to handle all your tempo-syncing tasks. In addition to ultra-precise BPM detection, the software automatically finds the beat grid of your tracks on import while the Sync Lock function makes sure that beat-matched tracks stay matched. Powerful loop and cue functions, including unlimited storable cue points and loops per track, hot cue buttons and easy navigation between loops and cues all make TRAKTOR DUO a perfect tool for remixing tracks on the fly.
Digging In The Crates

Crate Flick lets you browse your track collection using cover art, showing you the top portion of each track’s cover as you flip through, just like digging in a record box. TRAKTOR DUO helps you quickly find tracks visually and even works with file formats that would normally not support artwork (AIFF, WAV). Intelligent navigation and sorting functions including iTunes™ and iPod™ compatibility contribute to TRAKTOR DUO’s fast and fun workflow.
Warp Your Sound

TRAKTOR DUO comes with six amazing tempo-sync’d effects including studio-quality reverb, delay, filter, flange, beatmasher and gator. Each deck features its own effects slot, each of which can chain up to three effects. Using TRAKTOR DUO’s convenient one knob control function, you can intuitively tweak any of the onboard effects – without stopping the musical flow.

TRAKTOR DUO utilizes industry-standard workflows that will be familiar to DJs used to spinning with CD decks.
